Fight Like Brayden!
My son (Brayden Shields) at 7 months old was pre-diagnosed with avdanced bilateral retinoblastoma(June 21, 2010). Which are tumors that form in both eyes. Within less than 24 hours we were in Memphis at St.Jude. He was officially diagnosed on (June 23rd, 2010) He has gone through almost 10 months of chemotherapy and with retinoblastoma he stands a very high chance of having secondary cancers for the rest of his life. Bilateral rentinoblastoma are tumors in both eyes. He started with 3 tumors in his Left and 2 tumors in his Right.
Brayden now has too many tumors to count well over 60 (including seeds) in his eyes all together since we've started. Brayden had to eventually have radioactive plaques placed in both eyes and first the left in Sept of 2011 that seemed to stablize the left eye then almost immediately his right eye started acting up again. So in April 2012 they put a radioactive plaque in the right eye. He struggled to bounce back and had more pain and discomfort than usually but our check ups post plaque have been clear. Thats the good news... the bad news is unfortunately his cancer has shown to be aggressive and they told us one more tumor in that area of the right eye we're going to have to have it removed. That's not our plan... :( He hasn't been through all this to just give his eye or eyes up to cancer. So we pray and we march forward... why?..... Because we

It's more than a feeling of popularity... it's of feeling of knowing you're not alone and when you fall you have a hundred hands around you to pick you back up!
