Robert Joseph Roeback, better known as Bobby, is
the strongest and most loving person I met in my life. We met in 2015 and Bobby
changed my life for the better. He taught me so many things and the most
important: Bobby showed me what true and unconditional love is.
He always stood up for his family and friends which is something rare and
valuable in a person. Bobby loved hockey and baseball. He won the Hockey
National Championship in 2003 with the Huskies and played college baseball for
Robert Morris Eagles.
I knew I could count on him for literally ANYTHING. A couple of times when he
had the right to criticize me he actually did the opposite. He stood by my side
and said that everything would be fine.
In 2018 we asked the doctors about trying to have a baby and they said that
wouldn’t be possible because Bobby was probably sterile because of
chemotherapy. Well, we tried for one month and now we have a beautiful, perfect
and smart son: Robert Francis.
Everyone could see in Bobby’s eyes how much he was so proud and how much he
loved our son.
After battling stage IV colon cancer with so many surgeries, over 65 rounds of
chemotherapy, blood infections, hospitals stay, the love of my life suddenly got
a blood clot in his lungs and was called to heaven on October 18th, 2019. We
love you and we are very, VERY PROUD OF YOU BABY!!!
Bobby always felt overwhelmed with children battling cancer. It always impacted
him very deeply. So in honor and memory of the best person I ever met in my
life, I promise that I will do more to help people battling cancer and this is
my first step.
It is my first fundraising and I hope I can count on you.
All the donations from Bobby’s funeral- $2320.00 are already included in the
fundraiser.
Let’s help children that are unfortunately fighting this terrible disease so
young. Cancer itself adds so much stress and having one thing less to think
about, how to pay the medical bills, definitely makes things a little bit
easier.
Bobby, We love you so much!!! Thank you for touching so many lives and making
the world, and all of those that you have impacted, better.
We love you forever,
Alessandra & Roeback Family
