Rules for the St. Jude Ride Memphis

  1. All participants must be 12 years or older on race day (October 23, 2015). A registered adult and legal guardian must sign a waiver of each participant between the ages of 12 and 18.
  2. Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $200 in addition to their registration fee. All fundraising is due before or at packet pickup and is required in order to receive your race number and timing chip. Please note: Donations mailed to St. Jude may take up to 14 business days to process. If you wish to mail your donations, we recommend that you do so before October 1, 2015. Checks and other donations may be brought to packet pickup for credit.
  3. Every participant will receive a timing chip that will track their number and timing of laps ridden on the course. Race timing will be managed by Start 2 Finish Event Management. For safety reasons, only one person per team will be allowed on the course at a time. Participants and teams will earn awards for the most laps completed in the following categories:
    • Solo Division
      • Male
      • Female
    • Two-Person Division
      • All Male
      • All Female
      • Co-Ed
    • Team Division
      • All Male
      • All Female
      • Co-Ed
  4. Headlights and tail lights are required for dusk until dawn riding.
  5. All riders must obey traffic laws.
  6. Running, rollerblading or any other use of the course, other than acceptable bicycles mentioned above, is strictly prohibited.
  7. Careless, reckless or inconsiderate riding will not be tolerated. After the first warning, the rider will be removed from the course for the remainder of the event.
