"Hero to Your Home" Sweepstakes Rules
The Hero to Your Home Sweepstakes is a volunteer-based fundraising program conducted by American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities, Inc. (“ALSAC”) to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (“St. Jude”). These Rules apply to all participants. The Sponsors shall make all determinations as to whether the Rules have been complied with, and the decision of the Sponsors as to any issue is final.
Sponsors: ALSAC, St. Jude, Mr. Roof, and Mr. Window are the Sponsors of this Sweepstakes.
Eligibility: NO DONATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. A donation will not increase one's chance of winning. The Sweepstakes is open to owners of single-family residences located in any of the following counties in Tennessee: Davidson, Cheatham, Robertson, Montgomery, Stewart, Humphreys, Dickson, Hickman, Williamson, Maury, Lewis, Giles, Marshall, Bedford, Rutherford, Cannon, Wilson, Sumner, Macon, Smith, Clay, Jackson, White, DeKalb, Warren, Coffee, and Lincoln. Employees of ALSAC, St. Jude, Mr. Roof, Mr. Window, and members of their immediate family are not eligible to win.
"Immediate Family" is defined as the employee's spouse, parents, in-laws, children, and siblings; and grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This definition also includes individuals for whom an employee is the current legal guardian or individuals who are not legally related to but who reside with an employee, including "step" and adoptive relationships.
Entry: You will be entered to win by registering for the Nashville Rock n Roll Marathon as a St. Jude Hero at http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/nashville/register. and raising $250 or more through your personal St. Jude Heroes fundraising page within the Sweepstakes Period. You may also enter the Sweepstakes without collecting donations or registering as a St. Jude Hero by submitting your contact information including name, phone number, and email address via mail to Hero to Your Home Sweepstakes, ALSAC/St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Attn: St. Jude Heroes. One (1) entry per person.
Time: The Sweepstakes starts at 12:01 a.m. (all times Eastern Time) on March 23, 2015 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 13, 2015 (the "Sweepstakes Period"). All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible to win the prize.
Prize: The prize consists of premium replacement windows for your home, including labor and installation. Restrictions on size and style of the Prize may apply. The prize is eligible for residential replacement only and is limited up to fifteen (15) windows.
The estimated fair market value of the Prize is $10,000. However, the actual value may be more or less than this amount.
Determination of Winner: There will be one winner ("the Winner") of the Sweepstakes. The Winner will be chosen by random selection from the Sweepstakes registrants who satisfy the entry requirements above. The drawing will be conducted privately. The Winner will be determined and notified no later than 6:00 pm Central Time on April 30, 2015. The Winner will be notified by e-mail and subsequently announced to the public. The selection of the Winner by Sponsors is final and binding on all participants.
The prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternative winner if Winner does not respond within three (3) days of notification being sent to the Winner, if the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize, or if two (2) attempts to contact Winner by email are not successful.
The prize is not transferable and there is no cash option for the prize.
Taxes: The value of the prize is includible in the Winner's income. ALSAC is required to report the actual value of the prize to the Internal Revenue Service. The Winner agrees to provide his or her valid name, address, and Social Security number to ALSAC for tax reporting purposes. The Winner is responsible for paying all federal, state, and local income and other applicable taxes that are due in connection with receipt of the prize.
Additional Agreements: The Winner will be required to execute an Agreement with Mr. Roof and with ALSAC/St. Jude as a condition of accepting the prize. All agreements include releases of liability in favor of Mr. Roof, Mr. Window, ALSAC and St. Jude, respectively. Winner will be required to follow all instructions given by Mr. Roof or Mr. Window regarding installation of the Prize.
Consent to Publicity: By entering the Sweepstakes, the Winner consents to ALSAC/St. Jude use of his or her name and/or photograph in any publicity, publications, promotional and marketing material, advertising, and any other print materials, web pages, electronic or other communications published or distributed by ALSAC/St. Jude, and to sign a separate agreement to this effect.
Miscellaneous Conditions: In the event that the operation or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired or prevented in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, change of condition, or other technical problems, the Sponsors may in their sole discretion, either: (a) terminate the Sweepstakes; (b) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Rules; and/or (c) substitute other prizes for any prize set forth in these Rules that becomes unavailable for any reason. The Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or acting in violation of these Rules.
The determinations of ALSAC/St. Jude are final and binding with respect to any matter arising out of the interpretation or application of these terms and conditions.
For a confirmation of the Winner, send a hand-written, self-addressed, stamped envelope to Hero to Your Home Sweepstakes, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Requests for the Winner list must be received by May 31, 2015.
