Reba taught at many Shelby County and Catholic schools and later became principal at Holy Rosary School and St. Dominic School in Memphis, TN. She later became the Administrator at St. Ann in Bartlett, TN. She retired several years ago as the Bereavement Minster at St. Louis Catholic Church. Reba also worked as a Minster of Consolation for Methodist Hospice. Reba was a grief counselor and was a director support groups all over the city. Reba was an active member at St. Louis Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
Reba was very active in the local Cedars Club of Memphis as well as the Southern Federation of Syrian Lebanese American Clubs (SFSLAC). Reba served on the Board of Directors for the SFSLAC as well as being a Past President. Reba also worked many years as the Director for the SFSLAC Scholarship program. Reba was also named SFSLAC Woman of the Year 2000.
Reba was the author of many papers and one book, "A Fragile Gift of Love".
Reba is survived by her husband of 63 years, Nafe David of Germantown, TN. Reba was a deeply caring mother of her four children. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Marie David and her two sons, Nafe David Jr. and Emile (Brenda) David. She was preceded in death by one son Waddell (Salam). Reba is survived by five grandchildren: Joshua (Ashley), Jenna (Sebastian), Rebekah, Anthony and Mark, and four great grandchildren: Sam, Lilly, Beren and Rohan.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 23rd at St. Louis Catholic Church, with Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
