Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
You probably know I used to fundraise for St. Jude as part of Team S.N.A.R.K.Y. but retired in 2023. The team is still going strong, and I'm proud to say during my time we raised more than $800,000 for St. Jude. But the work isn't done, so neither am I.
In 2012, my friend Jenee (who I've known since we were 12) lost her daughter Sophie to a rare brain tumor, two weeks before she would have turned 9. Sophie wasn't a patient at St Jude, but the protocols used to treat her were likely developed by St Jude and shared freely with hospitals all over the US and the world. Sophie continues to be my inspiration.
Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
