In recent months, I've taken to watching (and re- and re-re-watching) That Girl starring Marlo Thomas. I hadn't realized that the sweet lady I see every year around the holidays reminding us to be thankful for the healthy children in our lives was an actress, much less that her father is the very man who began St. Jude 's Children's Hospital!

Of course St. Jude's is an organization I'm familiar with, and have long felt it's one of the most precious missions out there.

When I began working with Unum, I became aware that it is willing to match any donation of more than $50 as an employee benefit. (In fact, it will match up to $10,000 total per year!)

This fundraiser is created to provide a place where money can be donated, and where I will be able to arrange to have any donation of at least $50 matched by Unum. This is what I am asking for as a gift for my 33rd birthday. Wouldn't it be great to help the families of unwell children focus on the lose children rather than the outrageous cost of medical care?! I think so too. Let's make it happen!
