It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elisa Fazio, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, who left us on August 28, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on October 10, 1965, in Grumo Appula, Bari, Italy, Elisa’s journey brought her to Haworth, NJ, where she created a home filled with love and warmth.
Elisa was the heart and soul of her family. As a devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for those around her. Her selflessness knew no bounds; she consistently put the needs of her family before her own, creating a sanctuary where everyone felt valued and loved. Her dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, from the lovingly prepared meals to the comforting words she offered to those in need.
As a wife, Elisa supported and cherished her husband with unwavering devotion. Together they managed to own and operate multiple food establishments in Penn station, New York City. As a mother, she was a guiding light, offering wisdom, encouragement, and boundless love to her children. Her role as a daughter and sister was marked by a deep sense of responsibility and affection, and as an aunt, she delighted in the joy and accomplishments of her nieces and nephews.
Her connection to her hometown Grumo Appula, Bari ran deep through her. She visited often, created a home there, was a devout follower of San Antonio and La Madonna di Mellittoand consistently instilled Italian values in her everyday life.
Elisa’s warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will forever be cherished.
Elisa is survived by her loving husband, Nicola, her cherished children, Rosa and Domenico, her father, Domenico, her in laws Domenico and Rosa, her siblings, Joe and Joanne, Rob and Claudia, Grace and Tommy, Dominick and Josephine, and Antonette and Mike, and her treasured nieces and nephews.
Elisa will reunite with her beloved mother, Rosa and her dear sister Angela.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 4th, 4:00 PM 9:00 PM and Thursday, September 5th, 2:00 PM 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM 9:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Funeral Mass Friday, September 6th, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 102 Park Street, Haworth. Entombment Garden of Memories, Washington Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elisa’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Elisa Fazio’s love was a beacon of light in our lives, and though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. May she rest in peace
