Betty Swetz (nee Ondek) 86, of Hawley PA, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on April 4, 2024, after a sudden illness. Betty was born in Yonkers, NY, a longtime resident of Emerson, NJ and enjoyed an active retirement at Woodloch Spring in PA. Survived by her loving husband, Alexander Swetz, Jr. of 64 years, beloved mother to daughter Karen Fox and her husband James, son Stephen Swetz and his partner Marfa, loving Grammy to Erin, Colleen Murray and husband Jonathan, Megan, Kate, Carly, Alexa, Michael, and Luna. Caring Great-Grammy to Brianna, Julia, and Jonathan Jr. and mother-in-law to Caroline Swetz. Betty was predeceased by her siblings, Emil Ondek, Violet Pollock, Rose Evanko, and Sonny Ondek.
Betty was all about family and of course cooking since it was her passion! She loved the Holidays, having her grand and great grandkids come to visit, playing golf, bowling, bingo and even Sudoku on her iPad. Her sense of humor, laughter, wisdom & kindness will be truly missed by all who knew her.
